Jute “Soil Saver” Matting

This unbleached loosely woven netting is installed after slope seeding, and is perfect for holding soil and grass seed in place during germination. Our 100% natural “Soil Saver” matting will also hold moisture for enhanced seed germination. As the grass emerges and roots are established, the jute matting’s fiber simply deteriorates, having a mulching effect.

NYP Burlap Windbreak and Filtration Material

We offer rolled burlap in heavy and extra heavy weave, and both are available in natural plain or treated for extend material life.

Attached to post, burlap provides a biodegradable barrier against wind and water erosion. Our extra heavy, treated grade burlap provides silt filtration and is an eco-friendly alternative to unsightly black woven polypropylene silt fence fabric. Over time, burlap naturally deteriorates without any environmental impact or the expensive disposal of poly silt fence.
